Our business started from a great need and our love for olives blossomed from there.
We wanted a healthy choice in all things for our family after we discovered our 2 year old daughter had Juvenile Diabetes. On our path to wellness and the introduction of new foods to our picky daughter we discovered the beauty of cooking and seasoning veggies and other foods and meats with olive oil and balsamic.
Cooking with flavored olive oil and balsamic vinegar turned our picky eater into a kid who loves vegetables and other foods that she wouldn’t normally eat. We discovered that eating healthy doesn’t have to be bland or difficult.
Our oils and balsamic vinegars are more than just dipping oils and salad dressings. Our oils and balsamic vinegars compliment all types of foods. It’s our job to educate our customers on the nutritional benefits of cooking with olive oils and balsamic vinegars and give examples of ways to use them in their everyday cooking. Our passion transformed into a thriving business
Growing up in Surfside Beach, we have always wanted to move back to the beach. So in 2011 we made the decision to leave Charlotte and open The Olive Shoppe. We wanted to share with others how easy and delicious cooking and eating healthy can be using infused olive oils and flavored balsamic vinegars.
We moved back to the beach and on July 1, 2011 opened our first store at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, SC. We were one of the first Olive Oils stores on the East Coast.
The following year we opened our Wilmington/Cotton Exchange location on June 1, 2012. Three years later we decided we needed a local store for the south end of Myrtle Beach so in April of 2015 opened our Market Common/Myrtle Beach store.
